Direct flush and siphon flush

Direct-flush type: The momentum of the water flow is used to directly flush the toilet. This type of toilet has steep walls, concentrated water power, and a Z-shaped pipe. Not easy to clog, paper can be thrown away. However, the noise is loud, the dirt on the inner wall is not completely washed away, the water level in the toilet is low, it is easy to splash, and the anti-odor effect is poor.
Siphon type: uses water pressure difference to discharge sewage, and the pipe is S-shaped. The inner wall is flushed very clean, and it has a built-in water trap design with a high water level, good odor resistance, and low noise. The pipe diameter is small and occasionally clogged, so paper cannot be thrown away.
The above picture can more intuitively see the internal structure of the siphon toilet. The pipes are longer and thinner, and the anti-odor effect is better. The noise of flushing is much lower. However, compared with the direct flush toilet, the siphon toilet is sometimes difficult to flush. It must be clean and there should be no foreign matter in the toilet, which is most likely to become clogged.
Siphon type is divided into:Vortex siphon / jet siphon /Opposite flush siphon
1. Vortex siphon: This is an improved version of the siphon toilet. This kind of toilet has similar advantages and disadvantages to the siphon toilet, except that the noise is much smaller and the flushing effect will be better. But the flushing ability is relatively weak.
2. Jet siphon: It is also an improved version of siphon toilet. It also inherits the advantages of the siphon toilet in terms of water saving and noise, and in terms of flushing ability, this toilet can have a two-pronged approach, and the flushing will be cleaner.
3. Opposing super-rotating siphon: In fact, it is similar to the vortex type. It is just two opposite water outlets that form opposite flushing methods. It is also the latest style of siphon type, and the flushing is more thorough and cleaner.
How to choose the flushing type of toilet?
Although the direct flush type is noisy, it can be applied to any sewer pipe; the siphon type is not. If the sewer pipe has a U-shaped trap, it is best not to choose a siphon toilet, because both the toilet and the pipe have water traps. Bends can easily cause poor drainage.
Some have deep S-shaped traps, which are not suitable for siphon toilets.
